The key is to simply to make a beginning..and then ‘course correct,’ set your compass and re-adjust for the winds of change.

It will lead to places you would never have experienced otherwise…

One of the main themes I taught while leading the Living Your Life Purpose workshop this past weekend is that it’s time to release any ‘perfectionist’ tendencies that hold us back from jumping in head first.

We are perfectly imperfect and Only the Divine is Perfect!  Trust in the Divine and you are given wings of courage.

Celebrate Your Mistakes!

They teach us more than your successes.  Celebrate your mistakes – learn from them but never dwell on them!

Feel the Fear and do it anyway!

Fear can corrode a soul – can halt growth – can cause unnecessary pain and suffering – can keep us from living our heart’s secret desires.  Feel the Fear and do it Anyway is a great book by Susan Jeffers I read many years ago.  Susan writes:

“The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.

We can’t escape fear. We can only transform it into a companion that accompanies us in all our exciting adventures; it is not an anchor holding us transfixed to one spot.

As far as I know, everyone feels fear as he or she moves forward through life. It is absolutely possible that there are some evolved souls in this world who never experience fear, but I have not met them…At the bottom of every one of your fears is simply the fear that you can’t handle whatever life may bring you.”

The truth is:

If you knew you could handle anything that came your way, what would you have to fear?

The answer is: NOTHING!

Stop fighting life. Your soul’s life lessons are gifts!

Each of us are encoded with our soul’s life purpose AND our particular LIFE LESSONS.  They are the patterns that seem to show up regularly (low self-worth, repeated bad relationships, money issues etc).  The good news is the lessons we’ve been given are EXACTLY what we need to learn so that our life purpose can manifest exponentially!

The moment we embrace our  life lessons is the very second they transform in to gifts, strengths and wisdom.  They’re the doorways that open you to a place inside your soul that needs more growth, more wisdom, more love, more compassion, more strength…more of who you really are.

See you came in to this life in this school of hard knocks, trial and error, called “Earth University,” which is school for souls.  For me, it’s very freeing to think of myself and each of us as students in school, all at varying degrees of education – all reaching for our PhD’s

When you see yourself as a student, you’re no longer a victim of circumstance, tragedy or time.  You’re a soul student – in training.  Grace shifts the soul and we can welcome the trials and tribulations.  We can look the world in the eye and be more gentle with ourselves and others.
